I want to thank you both again for an excellent trip. We enjoyed every aspect of our experience. There was never any doubt that we were in good hands. The horses were amazing, and certainly taught this novice what such an animal is truly capable of when trained by the right person. And Barry, we especially appreciated your willingness to give up your day off to come haul my bull out in the hot weather. I guess the main point is that we had an excellent time; and we'll be looking forward to doing it again with you guys next year. Cameron's book was right on. You guys definitely get it done. Good luck with the rifle season.

For years I’ve always wanted to get packed into a remote area and hunt elk. Well this year my son, I and another friend did so. We had the pleasure of having Barry Cox of Del Sol Wilderness Adventures pack us in. Barry and his crew packed us 10 miles into the Hells Canyon Wilderness area. Barry got us in and out without a hitch and his horses were phenomenal. I’ve always had a fear of horses but quickly got over it with the sure footed mount I rode in and out. Barry set us up in a perfect spot and we went three for three with nice branch antlered elk and saw 50 – 100 elk every day. Barry got our last elk out under extremely difficult circumstances. An unforeseen storm with winds over 80 miles per hour dropped numerous trees across the trail. Barry and his crew spent 17 hours getting the last elk out and had to cut numerous trees off the trail to do so. He got out at midnight but kept the last elk from spoiling. Barry and crew are super dependable and have a great sense of humor. If you’re thinking of going on an adventure I would highly recommend Barry Cox. I can hardly wait for three more years to do it again when I finally get another tag.
